The Opportunity
This position will be primarily responsible for technical and product strategic direction in conjunction with justifying identifying procuring and managing the physical budgetary and human resources required for supporting the development of diagnostic reagent systems. This position will manage the core development and commercialization with cross-functional team members throughout the duration of the product life cycle. This position also identifies and networks with other functional areas within the company as required to expedite the product development and commercialization cycle. This position works closely with strategic marketing to define customer requirements and translate into appropriate development plans.

  • Establishes overall program direction and goals and direction of resources toward completion of those goals.

  • Provides effective leadership for the team while serving as Program Ambassador.

  • Translating the Strategic Business Plan into tactical plans for the product development area.

  • Communication with other product development teams to share information and help implement standard product development practices across the company.

  • Responsible for motivation and development of all personnel within the program or functional area.


Who You Are:

  • Bachelors Degree in a relevant discipline plus 8 or more years of progressive work experience. OR

  • Masters Degree in a relevant discipline. 6 or more years of progressive work experience OR

  • Ph.D. in a relevant discipline. 4 or more years of progressive work experience demonstrating increased competencies Experience performing in a leadership capacity preferred.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience performing in a leadership capacity preferred.

Demonstrate increased competencies with combined academic and industry experience in the following functions or combination thereof:

  • instrument product design/development

  • software development

  • instrument or reagent systems integration

  • chemistry/reagent design/development

  • project management

  • marketing management of new products

Actual pay will be determined based on experience qualifications geographic location and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
