Job Description:

We are currently seeking a highly experienced Intellectual Property Partner to join our growing team in Houston TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in intellectual property law and a proven track record of success in developing and managing a successful IP practice.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and provide high-quality legal services in all areas of intellectual property law

- Manage a team of attorneys and support staff to ensure efficient and effective delivery of legal services

- Provide strategic advice and counsel to clients on all aspects of IP law including patents trademarks copyrights and trade secrets

- Conduct legal research and draft legal documents including patent applications trademark registrations and licensing agreements

- Represent clients in IP-related litigation and other legal proceedings

- Stay current on industry developments and changes in IP laws and regulations

- Collaborate with other partners and attorneys within the firm to develop and implement business development strategies

- Mentor and train junior attorneys and support staff

- Participate in firm-wide initiatives and contribute to a positive and collaborative work culture

Qualifications:

- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

- Admission to the State Bar of Texas and in good standing

- Minimum of 10 years of experience practicing intellectual property law with a focus on patents and trademarks

- Proven track record of developing and managing a successful IP practice

- Strong business development skills and a network of clients and referral sources

- Excellent communication negotiation and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities

- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events
