Job Summary
Description
Nashville General Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse- Medical Surgical full-time in Nashville TN who will embrace our commitment to providing quality care to every patient and family member.
As aRegistered Nurse- Medical Surgical you will be responsible for:
- Admitting and assessing patients
- Administering medications and treatments
- Monitoring vital signs and symptoms
- Operating and tracking medical equipment
- Running and ordering tests
- Coordinating care with Physicians and Specialists
- Charting patient progress
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree Diploma or Baccalaureate Degree program in Nursing preferred.
- Have a current licensure or permit to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee or compact state. BLS required. ACLS preferred.
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development necessary for assessment range of treatment and care of patients ranging from adult through geriatrics. Knowledge of hospital and department policies and procedures patient care procedures and the ability to operate technical equipment as acquired through orientation
