About Sunchild First Nation School

Located approximately 60 km northwest of Rocky Mountain House Sunchild First Nation School is a modern K4Grade 12 facility serving approximately 385 students with over 70 staff members. Our school offers one of the most comprehensive and holistic education systems in the region. We blend strong academics with Cree culture land-based learning wellness initiatives and extensive student supports to ensure every learner has the opportunity to succeed.

Position

We are seeking an engaging and student-centred educator to teach Grades 10-12 English. The successful candidate will create an inclusive student-centred learning environment that supports critical thinking literacy development and historical and social understanding. This role requires strong instructional practice the ability to build positive relationships with students and a commitment to supporting academic success across diverse learning needs.

Teachers must be eligible for Alberta Teachers Certification. New graduates of Bachelor of Education programs are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate must provide a Criminal Record Check and an Intervention Record Check as a condition of employment. Interviews will be conducted either in person or via Google Meet depending on the candidates preference.
