On behalf of our growing partner a very exciting Life Science organization we are looking for a seasoned legal professional to head the organizations Legal Department.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Legal and Quality Management Division and provide strategic legal counsel to executive leadership;
- Draft review and negotiate complex contracts and institutional legal documents in both Hungarian and English;
- Support international research collaborations funding agreements and R&D projects from a legal perspective;
- Oversee compliance governance data protection (GDPR) and quality management systems;
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure continuous institutional compliance with national and international laws;
- Support procurement and public procurement procedures ensuring all processes meet legal standards;
- Manage legal risks and coordinate effectively with external legal advisors and law firms;
- Provide comprehensive legal support to governing bodies and institutional decision-making processes.
Requirements
- University degree in Law and a successfully completed Bar Examination (Bar qualification);
- At least 10 years of relevant professional experience including a proven track record in a leadership or managerial role;
- Hands-on experience in multiple areas including: Labor Law Corporate Law Intellectual Property Law and general commercial legal matters;
- Experience in complex organizational environments (e.g. multinational scientific or academic sectors);
- Strong background in contract management compliance and corporate governance;
- Negotiation-level active English language skills (both written and oral);
- Systems-thinking mindset and high-level problem-solving skills;
- Strategic mindset exceptional communication skills and a confident leadership presence.
Advantages
- Experience gained in a multi-company or holding structure business environment;
- Experience gained in a similar sector (scientific / pharmaceutical / healthcare);
- Deep knowledge of domestic and European Union grant systems;
- Experience in public procurement and regulatory affairs.
