About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Architect to design implement and optimize our enterprise data platform. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Medallion Architecture strong data modelling skills and a solid understanding of performance optimization in large-scale data environments. You will collaborate with engineering analytics and business teams to ensure our data ecosystem is scalable reliable and high performing.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand the existing reporting requirements and data structures.
• Design and implement Medallion Architecture to structure raw cleansed and curated datasets.
• Develop logical and physical data models to support business intelligence analytics and AI/ML workloads.
• Define and enforce data governance quality and lineage standards.
• Optimize data ingestion transformation and query performance for large-scale datasets.
• Partner with engineers to ensure scalable data pipelines and cost-efficient storage strategies.
• Evaluate new tools frameworks and patterns to improve data architecture and performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into optimal data solutions.
• Provide guidance on data security compliance and privacy best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience in Global B2B environment in domains like Supply Chain Sales & Marketing Manufacturing and Finance with strong business acumen.
• Proven experience as a Data Architect Data Analyst Data Engineer or similar role.
• Extensive Azure Databricks experience and certification
• Strong knowledge of Medallion Architecture principles (BronzeSilverGold layers).
• Proficiency in data modelling (conceptual logical and physical) using tools such as Erwin dbt Lucidchart or similar.
• Expertise in SQL
• Experience with ETL/ELT pipeline design and orchestration (ADF Airflow dbt etc.).
• Understanding of performance tuning for both batch and streaming data.
• Strong grasp of data governance security and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Delta Lake and Apache Spark performance tuning.
• Familiarity with data mesh or domain-driven data design concepts.
• Background in machine learning data preparation and feature store design.
