Job Summary

Tolunay-Wong Engineers(TWE) is seeking applicants for a Field and Laboratory Geotechnical Technician position in our HoustonTexas office. The position supports geotechnical services.Please note this is a labor-intensive job. We provide all necessary training.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare clear and legible boring recordsincluding stratifying and classifying soils
Assist work team with various field and laboratory activities
Complete required daily reports and vehicle and equipment inspections
Attend all safety meetings and comply with company and client safety standards and programs
Maintain a clean and organized work environment including equipment and job site areas
Support and adhere to company quality policies and procedures

REQUIREMENTS

Effective communication skills both verbal and written in English
High school diploma or equivalent
Willing to travel and possess a dependable pick-up truck or equivalent
Able to pass an initial random and annual hair follicle drug test
Hold a valid Texas Drivers License and maintain a clean driving record
Able to physically implement work duties assigned in various weather elements
Willing to work diligently and take ownership over work
Work well in team environment
