Job Description
As a Security Guard - Education Site - Flexin Tampa FL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support access points and check credentials as needed respond to calls for assistance and communicate clearly with staff students and visitors while delivering a customer service mindset. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service at an educational location by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings classrooms parking areas and perimeter points; note and report unusual activity or conditions.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including assisting with access control issues disturbances and/or medical-related calls until help arrives.
- Monitor alarms cameras and/or other security-related systems when assigned; document observations and communicate updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Complete detailed reports and logs including incident reports patrol activity notes and/or visitor and contractor entries in accordance with site requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
