Job Description
As a Security Officer - Driver Perimeter Checks in Mount Vernon IN you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and support access control and incident reporting. This is a driving post and requires a valid drivers license per AU Driver Policy requirements. You will deliver strong customer service and clear communication while living Allied Universal values of agility reliability innovation teamwork and integrity.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at an industrial location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including notifying site contacts and emergency services as directed and documenting actions taken.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings production areas parking areas and perimeter routes to help identify irregular conditions hazards and/or unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and security-related equipment such as alarms gates and/or cameras as assigned helping to control entry and maintain orderly site traffic.
- Complete shift activity logs incident reports and patrol documentation and communicate pertinent information during post briefings and/or relief transitions.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Previous Firefighting Experience is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
