The primary goal is satisfying customer requirements of quality quantity and delivery in a safe manner while maximizing productivity. Specifically theQuality Control Technicianis responsible for all job activities required to support production processes. These activities include but are not limited to: Maintaining quality standards by inspecting and approving product in the prefabrication and fabrication areas and recording quality results; Ensuring that the appropriate processes and proper equipment tools materials tests inspections clean up and quality standards are employed at all times.

Other responsibilities

• Perform first piece and/or fixture inspection prior to and after welding to assure that the fabrication process is capable of meeting requirements and record results.
• Perform periodic inspection after welding to assure that the fabrication process is consistent and record results.

• Perform periodic inspection of prefabrication activities to assure that the prefabrication processes are being performed correctly and report results.
• Perform periodic inspection of completed kits from prefabrication department that the kits are complete and report results.
• Function as a liaison between the prefabrication and fabrication areas and engineering to resolve misunderstoodunclearor incorrect information on drawings and report results.
• Operate the FARO arm to perform inspection on weldments fixtures jigs and completed product as required.
• Maintain the DAC gage calibration system.

• Completes all work in a manner consistent with the companys quality system and regulations
• Keep work area clean and orderly at all times
• Follows all plant safety guidelinespracticesand procedures. Also be aware of activity in the work surroundings and maintain a clean and safe work area
• Properly use personal protective equipment when required
• Maintain regular attendance have reliable means of transportation

• Perform other tasks as assigned
• Physically capable of standing walking bending pushing pullingreachingand twisting throughout shift
• Capable of repetitively lifting 25-50 lbs.
• Candidates must be flexible to work overtime as needed which may include weekends and/or holidays

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions wiring schematicsblueprintsand procedure manual
• Familiarity with measuring equipment and calibration requirements.
• Familiar with mechanical measurement methods including coordinate measuring machines.
• Basic computer skills and SAP knowledge preferred
• Forklifts and Overhead crane experience preferred (in-house training available)
• Proven problem-solving abilities
• Must be adaptable to change
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
• Team player - must be able to work with others
• Must have and maintain a high sense of urgency to meet and exceed all production goals
• Attentive to detail watching for material defects and any quality issues
• Must be able to prioritize activities with minimal supervision

Educationand Experience

Prior manufacturing experience is highly preferred including welding and or material processing. Any technical or vocational education/training in relation to skills listed below is also desirable.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• A minimum of three (5) years of experience in manufacturing /quality
