Sanford Clinic Radiology is seeking a BE/BC fellowship trained Nuclear Medicine Radiologist to the group of 35 Radiologists.
Candidate should be familiar with all aspects of performing routine diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures and be proficient in all modalities
State-of-the-art technology is used by well-trained Radiographic Technologists and support staff in the various clinical environments
The facility currently has two 64-slice and two 16-slice CT scanners 5 ACR accredited FDA approved digital mammography units bi-plane interventional equipment computerized and digital X-ray PET-CT and an open MRI to complement our four MRI scanners including a 3 T state-of-the-art magnet technology
The facility offers cardiac CT/MRIs and also utilizes three mobile 1.5 MRIs that service our system hospitals and clinics

Job Description
Nuclear Medicine Core Privileges include the ability to perform history and physical examination admit and provide consultative services performance and interpretation of all routine and non-routine nuclear medicine procedures to make diagnostic evaluations by both in vivo and in vitro techniques of the anatomic and / or physiologic conditions of the body and to provide therapy with unsealed radioactive sources.
Qualifications
M.D. or D.O. degree.
Experience can be demonstrated in one of the following ways:An applicant who has just completed a fellowship shall provide his/her fellowship applicant who is not applying directly out of a fellowship shall provide a quality profile from hospital(s) where he/she currently has privileges showing his/her clinical activity for the past 24 months including number of procedures performed morbidity mortality infection rates and other complications. The applicant must be able to demonstrate clinical involvement in at least 50 Nuclear Medicine cases in the last 24 a quality profile is not available from the hospital(s) where the applicant currently has privileges documentation of the applicants clinical activity for the past 24 months is required. The applicant must be able to demonstrate clinical involvement in at least 50 Nuclear Medicine cases in the last 24 months.
Successful completion of a hospital affiliated Nuclear Medicine residency program accredited by the ACGME the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada in the residency. Before entering a nuclear medicine residency residents must satisfactorily complete one year of training in a program accredited by the ACGME or by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or equivalent. While the length of the nuclear medicine residency training is three years residents may enter the program from different training backgrounds. The type and length of the prior training will determine the number of years the resident will be required to spend in the nuclear medicine programs may include the following pathways:a. successful completion of an accredited 1-year program of fundamental clinical education followed by 3 (2 years prior to 2007) years of nuclear medicine trainingORb. successful completion of an accredited patient care specialty program (internal medicine family medicine pathology pediatrics surgery) accredited by the ACGME or RCPSC the length of nuclear medicine program accredited by the ACGME or RCPSC training is 2 yearsORc. successful completion of an ACGME or RCPSC accredited program in diagnostic radiology the length of nuclear medicine training ACGME or PCPSC accredited program is 1 yearORd. successful completion of 12 months of training in nuclear medicine program approved by the ACGME RCPSC prior to enrolling in a diagnostic radiology program accredited by the ACGME or . successful completion of a combined internal medicine/nuclear medicine training program approved by the ACGME or RSPSC of 4 years durationCredentials Committee; Medical Executive or Medical Affairs Committee; and the Board of Directors or the Board of Governors may consider training at residency or fellowship programs accredited by organizations other than the in Nuclear Medicine by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada as applicable. Those applicants who are not board certified at the time of application but who have completed their residency training within the last five years shall be eligible however must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of their residency training unless such requirement is waived by the Board of Directors (Refer to each entities policy for grandfather exceptions)Privileging documents and related credentialing requirements will supersede this job description in defining minimum qualifications criteria and scope of practice if variation between documents exists.
