Job Summary
Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma (DLO)
Location: Oklahoma City OK
Hours: Monday-Friday 0800-1630
Essential Functions:
- Report to work on time and prepared for each scheduled shift
- Perform all assigned duties and processes including tasks for which you are fully qualified and those within your demonstrated capabilities
- Maintain a positive professional and supportive attitude throughout the workday
- Work collaboratively as a team member and contribute to a respectful productive work environment
Responsibilities
- Assists professional staff in routine technical tasks such as: preparation of reagents specimen processing loading instruments and send outs.
- Other duties to include filing temperature checks stocking supplies answering telephone calls etc.
- Receives specimens into the laboratory using Cerner and QLS LIS systems.
- Follow employer policies; work with fellow employees in a professional productive manner.
Qualifications
Required Knowledge: Good computer skills customer service skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
Required Experience: High School/GED required. Previous laboratory experience preferred.
Special Requirements:
- Ability to maintain a professional courteous and pleasant attitude in times of heavy workload
- and stress.
- Teamwork with fellow employees is a must.
- Keyboard skills are important.
- Good customer service skills professional appearance and attitude.
- Able to work any day including weekends and holidays; able to flex hours and work overtime for other shifts as needed.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Position requires data background with abilities to enter 6000 alphanumeric keystrokes/hour
- Works in a biohazard environment practicing good safetyhabits
- Able to sit or stand for longperiods
- Handles multiple tasks simultaneously and works in a productionenvironment
