Quality Inspector
Full-time Quality Location Olathe KS
The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting and testing parts to ensure that they meet dimensional and functional specifications.
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for inspecting and testing parts to ensure that they meet dimensional and functional specifications.
- Complete inspection reports using the Levels of Inspection or CRM Report computer software.
- Process parts by creating a Non-Conforming Report for parts that have been determined to be defective incomplete or incorrect.
- Assist with First Article Inspections as needed.
- Look for trends in recurring defects for all inspected parts.
- Utilize 5S practices (sort straighten clean organize and sustain the inspection workspace).
- Assist with non-conforming projects (clarifications) as needed.
- Work as a liaison between Quality and Production (Receiving and Packaging Departments when needed).
- Include suggestions on packaging/kitting when noticing that a part could benefit from it.
- Perform special assignments on occasion.
- Warehouse work.
- Computer usage at the desk.
- Moves between office warehouse production and inspection areas to perform tasks.

- High School Diploma or GED
- Self-starter.
- Good communication skills.
- Must be team oriented possess a positive attitude and collaborate effectively with others to achieve goals in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
- Comfortable with computer applications (Microsoft Word Excel and proprietary TVH application programs).
- Proficiency with measuring tools (digital calipers micrometers etc.) and reading an inch/metric tape measure.
- Read and comprehend machine/technical drawings.
- Keen organizational skills.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to read analyze and interpret the most complex documents.
- Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
- Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style.
- Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management
- Must be fluent in reading and writing in English.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is required.
- Possibly lift and carry 50 pounds occasionally.
- Manual dexterity and technical ability to assemble/disassemble part assemblies.
