Rate of Pay: 21.83 - 28.80 per hour
Summary:
An experienced Pest Control Officer is required to support the Council in discharging its statutory obligations under the Public Health Act 1936 and the Prevention of Damage by Pests Act 1949. The successful candidate will deliver a high-quality customer-focused pest control service across Westminster ensuring that the borough is kept so far as reasonably practicable free from rats mice and other vermin.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver pest control services in line with service specifications legislation council policy and codes of practice.
- Carry out site surveys and inspections arising from complaints service requests or scheduled inspection programmes.
- Coordinate and deliver appropriate pest treatments using approved and efficient methods.
- Advise residents complainants and council staff on suitable treatments and preventative measures.
- Undertake enforcement duties including serving statutory notices under relevant legislation.
- Coordinate and carry out block treatment and sewer baiting programmes.
Essentials:
- Proven operational pest control experience.
- Experience planning delivering and coordinating workloads and projects.
- Proficiency in using information systems and mobile technology for case management and reporting.
- Ability to work independently in line with agreed work programmes.
- Strong customer service focus.
