Controllers ensure that the firm meets all the financial control and reporting obligations of a global regulated and public financial institution. Our professionals measure the profitability of and risks associated with every aspect of the firms business. Controllers also ensure that the firms activities areconducted in compliance with the regulations governing transactions in the financial markets.

BUSINESS UNIT

The Controllers group is responsible for safeguarding the firms assets: to help maintain the integrity ofGoldman Sachs finances and expenditures. Through careful consideration and analyses of firm financesobjectives and strategies we ensure that the firms businesses continue to be profitable and efficientlyrun. Controllers also ensure that all business practices are in compliance with financial and regulatoryrequirements worldwide. Since contact with virtually every part of the firm is essential to Controllersprofessionals in the department experience Goldman Sachs businesses products and sophisticatedtechnology systems in depth. Direct Hedge Funds Hedge Funds Strategies Private Equity Group teamswithin Controllers support the alternative investments within Goldman Sachs Asset Management divisionwith oversight over complex private funds.

BASIC QUALIFICATION

Qualified CA /CFA/CMA

Basic industry knowledge and strong accounting knowledge. - Knowledge of US GAAP & IFRS is a plus.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Strong analytical skills

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products tools and utilities for business use
