The DeLaval Edge Platform team builds the IoT backbone that connects devices sensors and edge compute across farms worldwide. We work where IoT edge computing and cloud meet enabling secure onboarding realtime communication and highavailability automation in challenging environments.
Role and responsibilities
As a Software Developer IoT & Edge you will develop software that runs across cloud services edge nodes and onfarm devices. You help evolve a secure scalable and reliable IoT platform by working closely with hardware firmware cloud and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop IoT platform and edge services for device management OTA updates and distributed workloads.
- Design microservices for secure communication and fleet monitoring.
- Implement secure onboarding and provisioning flows for new devices.
- Build connectivity and telemetry solutions that work in lowbandwidth and offlinefirst environments.
- Improve reliability monitoring and automated testing for large device fleets.
- Apply strong IoT security practices and support migration to modern architectures.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role we believe that you have:
- Strong backend skills in Python Go Rust or TypeScript
- Good understanding of Linux systems preferably Yoctobased.
- Experience with IoT protocols (MQTT CoAP gRPC REST).
- Familiarity with cloud IoT platforms and container runtimes.
- Basic networking knowledge (TLS certificates VPNs routing).
- Experience with distributed or offlinecapable systems.
We would also like to see:
- Experience with industrial IoT or largescale device fleets.
- Handson work with factory provisioning device imaging or hardware integration.
- Understanding of realtime systems telemetry pipelines or anomaly detection.
- Experience with edge AI or applying ML at the edge.
- Frontend experience in or React (optional).
