Your Role asan IntermediateStructuralDesigner

Reporting to the Supervisor of Structural Engineering Services you willbe responsible fordevelopingstructuraldesigns of site infrastructure including roads drainage systems and earthworks for mining and industrial sites.You will also conduct site assessments and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with industry standards. Your work will involve managing multiple project timelinesmaintainingthorough documentation and contributing to project coordination and reporting. This role also includes mentoring junior staff and supporting the delivery of engineering solutions in industrial and mining environments.


Your Key Accountabilities

  • Technical and Documentation
    • Develop detailedstructuraldesign drawings using AutoCAD and Civil3D.
    • Support engineering teams in developing site layouts grading plans and earthworks.
    • Review and incorporate geotechnical and survey data into designs.
    • Ensure designscomply withapplicable codes standards and client specifications.
    • Support QAQC checks as directed.
    • Conduct site visits for data collection assessment and verification of design implementation.
    • Conduct quantity takeoffs andassistin cost estimation.
    • Participate in client meetings to gather technical requirements under supervision.
    • Manage time commitments between projects.
    • Collaborate with internal teams toensure integrateddesign solutions.
  • Professional Development
    • Participate in training and certification programs.
    • Attend relevant industry workshops and seminars.
    • Seek feedback and guidance from senior designers and engineers.
    • Engage inlearning opportunities to develop technical and professional skills.

Qualifications

  • A diploma or degree in Civil orStructuralEngineering Technology or a related field is.
  • 4 to 7 years of relevant experience instructuraldesign preferably in industrial or mining environments is.
  • Knowledge of industry codes and regulations is desirable.
  • Proficiencyin AutoCADCivil3D is.
  • Proficiencywith Microsoft Office Suites applications.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high quality work.
  • Strong commitment to safety quality and sustainable design practices.
  • Validdriverslicense.

Working Conditions

  • Work is primarily performed in a regular office environment.
  • Travel to client sites ison occasion to attend meetings and to conduct field visits.

Full-Time Permanent

Total Compensation

The salary range for this position is $75000.00 to $106000.00CAD per annum based on the responsibilities of the role internal equity and current market benchmarks. The final offer will bedeterminedby a combination of factors including the candidates skills experience and qualifications; their placement within our internal compensation structure; and relevant geographic cost of living considerations where applicable. This rangerepresentsa realistic and good faith estimate of the compensation we expect to offer for this role.
