Job Summary
Minuteman High School is seeking a qualified Art & Literary Magazine Advisor for the school year. This is a stipend position with responsibilities and compensation detailed below.Major Responsibilities:
- Encourage students to submit poems artwork photos short stories etc.
- Organize and Art committee and Poetry committee to evaluate entries for publishing.
- Monitor work for possible plagiarism.
- Edit student work as appropriate.
- Coordinate the design layout and creation of the magazine with students and staff.
- Arrange for art displays or an Art Show.
- Promote and distribute the magazine to the wider Minuteman Community.
- Ensures that all financial activities are processed through the proper student activity account.
- Mentor participants as needed.
- Communicate about the Magazine within the school community (announcements press releases website).
- Complete an approved Program of Work.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with students teachers parents and staff.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Able to work in a team environment.
- This position includes but is not limited to: interacting with the public walking around the school standing for periods occasionally lifting and carrying items reading documents using a computer listening and speaking using office equipment maintaining energy throughout the day and handling stress effectively.
- Stipend Position.
- This is a stipend position for the 2026-2027 school year.
- The person who fills this position will be the contact for any relevant and important information prior to the start of the school year.
- Principal.
- The total stipend for this position is $2321 for the entire assignment.
