Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our team on a full-time permanent basis. As a Carpenter at Msuez Uk you will be responsible for constructing installing and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood plywood and wallboard. You will work closely with our project managers and other team members to ensure that projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities: - Read and interpret blueprints drawings and specifications to determine the materials and tools required for each project - Measure and mark cutting lines on materials ensuring accuracy and precision - Cut shape and smooth materials using hand and power tools - Install structures and fixtures such as windows frames floorings and trim following established safety guidelines - Inspect and repair damaged structures and fixtures - Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget - Maintain a clean and organized work area - Comply with all safety regulations and procedures - Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and growth within the company Requirements: - Proven experience as a Carpenter with a minimum of 5 years in the construction industry - In-depth knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods as well as the safe use of hand and power tools - Ability to read and interpret blueprints drawings and specifications - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Excellent time management and organizational skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy materials - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Valid drivers license and reliable transportation - High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in carpentry is a plus Working Conditions: This is a full-time permanent position based in Johannesburg South Africa. The work schedule is typically Monday to Friday but may require occasional evening or weekend work to meet project deadlines. The work environment may vary from indoor to outdoor settings and may involve working at heights or in confined spaces. Personal protective equipment will be provided and safety guidelines must be strictly followed at all times.
