Responsibilities
Utilize the SEC Edgar and other regional regulatory websites mutual fund company websites and the Internet to gather financial regulatory documents
Collectfinancial regulatory documents of open-endclosed-end and variable annuity mutual funds and ETFsfor a document libraryand further analysis
Read throughthe collectedfinancial regulatorydocumentsto capture key industry data fromandput it into a proprietary system
Verify calculations done by a proprietary system before it is released to client-facing applications andused forresearch reports
Conductdata quality assurance: identifying and analyzing data quality issues
Work collaboratively with team members both in the Philippines and in the U.S.to deliver mutual fund and ETF data to clientson timely basis
Actively cross-train and expand opportunities to work on various related research responsibilities
Read and understand mutual fund investment strategies and objectivesto properly tag them for client-facing applications
Determine relevant and interesting industry changes and summarizefindings in a weekly newsletter
Create and update documentation of work processes and maintain institutional knowledge in a centralized web-based database
Support relevant process improvements as well as technology projects by contributing to specifications and testing deliverables
Special projects as assigned
Keep up to date on financial industry news and market trends
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Management Finance Business Humanities or a closely related field or equivalent experience
Strong commitment to high quality standards
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated troubleshooting follow-through and critical thinking skills
Ability to work cooperatively and strategically in a team environment (can thrive in a cross-border / multi-cultural team)
Experience working with any of the following would be a plus:
With at least a year ofrelativework experience gathering and analyzing financial data.
Proficiencyin using MS Excel for financial data manipulation and preparation.
Familiarity withmutual fund prospectus data.
Knowledge of mutualfund annuity and/or insurance industry particularly fee structure and investmentstrategies isa plus
Work Location & Schedule:
Amenable working at Makati City on a permanent late dayshift schedule (12nn- 9pm Manila Time); Monday schedule is 2pm-11pm shift for team meeting including US counterparts
Amenable to undergo 3-6 months of onsite training prior to transitioning to hybrid working arrangement
Hybrid working arrangement (at least 3 days work onsite per week)
