  6. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with administrators IT staff the Information Technology Center (ITC) and building personnel.

General Description:

To serve as the districts lead coordinator for the Educational Management Information System (EMIS) ensuring the accurate collection verification submission certification and compliance of all required student and staff data to the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (ODEW). The EMIS Coordinator ensures adherence to state and federal reporting requirements that directly impact district funding accountability determinations graduation requirements and program compliance.

Essential Functions:

  1. Coordinate and manage all EMIS reporting cycles in accordance with ODEW timelines and requirements.

  2. Ensure accuracy completeness and compliance of student and staff data submitted for state reporting including enrollment attendance course program assessment graduation discipline and personnel information.

  3. Monitor analyze and resolve data validation errors and data review flags prior to certification of data to ODEW.

  4. Verify and submit data for Excess Costs and Catastrophic Costs within timelines established by ODEW.
  5. Maintain accurate student demographic enrollment withdrawal attendance discipline program and course data within the districts student information system.

  6. Maintain accurate staff position credential licensure and employment data required for state reporting.

  7. Work collaboratively with the IT Department to extract data assist with data uploads manage system integrations and ensure data integrity across district software platforms.

  8. Work closely with the Information Technology Center (ITC) to support accurate data transmission troubleshoot reporting issues and ensure compliance with EMIS reporting requirements.

  9. Develop and implement internal data verification procedures to strengthen data governance ensure accuracy and minimize audit findings.

  10. Provide data analysis and generate reports for district administrators to support funding projections accountability measures compliance monitoring and decision-making.

  11. Respond promptly accurately and professionally to state federal and independent audit requests providing required documentation and supporting materials as needed.

  12. Support district audits and compliance reviews by maintaining organized documentation of reporting processes procedures certifications and submission confirmations.

  13. Regularly participate in professional development EMIS trainings state webinars and regional meetings to remain current on legislative updates EMIS manual changes and reporting requirements.

  14. Assist building secretaries guidance staff and administrators with proper data entry procedures and troubleshooting to ensure reporting accuracy and consistency.

  15. Perform general office responsibilities as assigned to support district operations.

Promote positive public relations through professional communication and service to staff students parents and community members.
