Job Summary

JOB SUMMARY:

Supports management in directing and coordinating activities ofthe Water Quality team. Routinely provides feedback to management on personnel issues and performance. Actively supports and implements daily/weekly/monthly planning and training and learning opportunities in Mechanical ElectricalHazmatand Water testing disciplines. Activelypromotesengagesandmaintainspositive working relationships with other departments and shifts in supporting department activities by performing duties and reinforces Universal policies and procedures escalating concerns tomanagementas necessary and ensures Team Member safety.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plans and delegates work tasks. Supportsfollowsand implements Technical Servicesplanning and scheduling for the assigned shift. Delegates work assignments among qualified Team performance expectationsin an effort toensure proper completion of tasks; provides feedback for recognition and performance improvement. Managesdown time recovery whilemaintainingcomposure and keeping the Team Members andGuestssafe
  • Actively reinforces company safety guidelines and programs; reports or corrects non-compliance. MonitorsTeam Memberproductivityandwork habits. Leads condition use and storage of tools equipmentchemicalsand other property daily. Maintains material inventory processes. Monitors compliance with wardrobe/grooming standards driving policy radio usage and other policies.
  • Ensures proper completion of documentation ensuringaccuratedata entry and standardization daily. Captures written behaviors using the Lead Observation Report to supportFacilities Managementdocumentation. Provides Team Member performance feedback tomanagement.
  • Communicates and coordinatesacross Technical Services andwith other departments or crafts as neededto ensure smooth operations and Guest resource needs and work plans tomanagement. Provides two-way communication between workteamleadershipand other management and HR seasonal weather condition sustainment initiatives as directed.
  • PerformsWater QualityTechnicianjob duties as describedandas necessary to ensure labor and shares job knowledgeandassistsin developingTeam Members. Activelyparticipatesin learning opportunities in Mechanical Electrical Hazmat and Water Treatment disciplines consisting of training classes and hands-on training experiences with discipline other than own.Demonstratesadaptability and the ability toacquireskills inadditionaldisciplines thatbenefitfrom their technicalexpertisesupporting a broader range of operational andproject needs.
  • Handles trainingofnew and currentTeam Membersand coordinates daily training training updates and follows up as necessary to ensure the completion of all proper documentation and adherence to Universal standards and procedures. Communicates resource needs and work plans to leadership for proper maintenance scheduling and support.
  • Understand and activelyparticipatein Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy procedurestrainingand team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Individual Contributor.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.
  • Must be able toworka flexible and varying schedule based on business needs.

CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES:

  • Certified Pool Operator license isrequiredwithin180 daysof employment (company provided).
  • Aquatic Facility Operator certification Aquatic Pesticide Applicators license SCUBA certification and 24-hour HAZWOPER training are preferred.

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma or GED isrequired; Associates or Technical degree in related field is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 6 monthsofexperience providing work directionisrequiredand5 years of experienceinwaterqualityor a combination of related maintenance of mechanical electrical systems plumbing regulated waste emergency response theme park water ride systems storm water managementisrequired;or equivalent combination of education and experience.
