Investment Operationsconsists offive scrumteamscurrentlyplanned togrow toeight scrum teamsacross several geographical locations and we are now looking for a Director of Engineering to head up the product report to the AVP ofInvestment Operations.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

• Provide strategic leadership as a leader of leaders and their engineering teamssetting clear direction promoting collaboration and ensuring alignment with SimCorps vision and objectives
• Champion a culture of innovation accountability and technical excellencecreating an engaging environment that promotes growth collaboration and delivery of premium-quality software.
• Align engineering priorities with product strategy ensuring focus on business-critical initiatives while supporting continuous improvement and scalability across teams
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management design and operations to deliver measurable results for complex projects
• Build the right capabilities within teams to meet current and future business needs and develop and execute the Product Area capacity strategy to ensureoptimalresource allocation.
• Maintain keen cost awareness including infrastructure cloud services (e.g. Azure) and headcount
• Partner with the architecture team to maintain clear technical direction and shape long-term engineering strategies that support scalability and innovation
• Optimizeengineering processes by implementing best practices improving efficiency andleveragingautomation whereappropriate.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to engineering leaders encouraging professional growth and knowledge sharing across the organization
• Retain existing highly skilled staff and attract new experienced professionals to improve the teams capabilities and drive organizational success
• Establishgovernance model andmonitorkey performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress Communicate execute and follow-up on executive strategy to your organization.

WHAT WE VALUE

• Solid engineering background with professional software development experience
• Minimumfiveyears experienceleading cross-functional teams within a medium/large sizedproduct area. Your peers look to you for advice and you are ready to take the next step
• You have a good understanding of core engineering practices such as testing methodologies coding CI/CDAIsecurity and architecture and you cancomprehendthe work your teams dodaily.
• Takes initiative with a client-focused approach and a clear execution drive. Capacity to handle conflicting priorities and manage stakeholder expectations
• You stay focused in emergencies such as client incidents and maintain clear constructive communication
• Comfortablesparring with your peers in Engineering Product Management and Architecture across Product Division to find theoptimalsolutions for the product.
• Ability toanticipatethe skillsetcapabilityand capacity needs of the product area as a whole
• Effective problem-solving and collaboration skills to overcome obstacles and implement change in a large organization. You are pragmatic and adaptable creating a culture of collaboration and trust

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with Azure or similar cloud platforms.
• Background in FinTech or capital markets.
