Program Coordinator I

The Department of Aviation Technology (AVTE) in the S.J. and Jessie E Quinney College of Agriculture and Natural Resources is seeking a Program Coordinator. This role will coordinate program initiatives at USU Eastern in collaboration with resources at the Main/Logan campus. This is a full-time 12-month benefited position that will require aviation program-related travel (3-4 times per month predominantly day trips).

• Leads and coordinates events such as aviation outreach and community events (including summer youth camps) open houses fundraisers tours banquets and exhibits.
• Oversees communication strategies in collaboration with AVTE/College marketing team: which may include development of promotional materials newsletters social media content and public outreach to specifically emphasize aviation programs available at statewide locations.
• Responds to requests for information from the media and public; distributes promotional materials including flyers and brochures; and prepares and presents information to internal and external sources regarding the Aviation Technology programs at USU.
• Collects and analyzes AVTE data to improve student and program outcomes with specific emphasis on USU Eastern and Statewide campuses.
• Coordinate student workshops/information sessions. Assists with program records handbooks and AVTE procedural documentation.
• May train and direct student employees and volunteers.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualification:

• Associate degree plus two years of related work experience; or a bachelors degree in a related field; or an equivalent combination of education plus experience is required.
