Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Route Driver in Sunrise FL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location you will conduct mobile and foot patrols perform access control and badge checks and document security-related activity with clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors employees and contractors at a government location by following security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings grounds and perimeter areas monitoring for unusual activity hazards and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry maintain control of keys and/or access credentials as directed and document access activity per post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including contacting law enforcement and/or emergency services when required and completing security-related reports.
- Operate and monitor security-related systems such as CCTV alarms and radio communications and communicate observations to site leadership per established protocols.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 3 years combined law enforcement/military/security experience OR a college degree.
- Be 21 years of age.
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Access control/badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
