The Department of Curriculum & Instruction in the College of Education and Human Development seeks applications for a full-time non-tenure track appointment beginning fall of 2026. The appointment is for a Clinical Assistant Professor of Curriculum & Instruction. A regional comprehensive university Texas A&M University-San Antonio (A&M-SA) has approximately 8000 students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs. Part of the statewide Texas A&M University System.
Quality performance will be expected in the area of teaching and service. The standard teaching load for a Clinical Assistant Professor is 4 courses per semester (4/4). Summer teaching assignments may be available for additional pay but are not guaranteed. Successful candidates will teach undergraduate and/or graduate level courses in general topics of education such as pedagogy curriculum classroom management and content methods courses. Teaching assignments may include day night and/or weekend classes.
Required Education and Experience:
Doctoral Degree from a regionally accredited institution in Curriculum & Instruction or a related field in education
K-12 teacher certification with a minimum of 5 years of K-12 teaching experience
University teaching experience for a minimum of 3 years
Preferred Education and Experience:
University teaching experience for a minimum of 5 years
Experience using learning management systems
