Our Johannesburg and Cope Town sites are key hubs for our Business Area Racks & Storage and we are now looking for our next star: a passionate Marketing Assistant to join our team. This position reports to Head of Global Marketing for Racks & Storage and will be based in Cape Town.
About the position
As a Marketing Assistant you will provide operational and administrative support to Head of Global Marketing. The primary focus of this role is to assist in the execution of marketing campaigns manage social media coordination support content rollouts maintain marketing systems and ensure seamless day-to-day marketing operations across regional and global initiatives. This is a hands-on execution role designed to support strategy implementation.
Your main responsibilities
Marketing Operations & Administrative Support
- Provide day-to-day operational support to Head of Global Marketing as well as rest of team
- Assist in preparation of presentations reports and internal updates.
- Coordinate marketing requests from Sales and regional teams.
- Maintain marketing trackers (campaign calendars influencer lists reporting sheets).
- Assist with budget tracking documentation (administrative support only).
- Organise marketing documentation and ensure files are structured correctly
Social Media Management & Content Coordination (Core Focus)
- Coordinate and manage content calendars across social platforms (Instagram Facebook LinkedIn YouTube etc.).
- Schedule and publish posts in line with campaign timelines.
- Assist in drafting captions aligned with brand tone and campaign messaging.
- Coordinate content approvals with Marketing Manager.
- Monitor engagement comments and basic community management.
- Track performance metrics and prepare monthly social reports.
- Support influencer and collaborator content coordination where required.
Campaign Execution Support
- Assist Head of Global in executing regional and global campaigns.
- Coordinate asset rollouts across digital channels.
- Ensure campaign materials are uploaded correctly to platforms.
- Support email marketing rollouts (newsletter uploads testing scheduling).
- Assist with CRM content uploads and segmentation coordination.
- Track campaign timelines and ensure deliverables are met.
Cross-Functional & Regional Support
- Liaise with Global Marketing to ensure asset alignment.
- Support local market execution (ZA) in alignment with global campaigns.
- Coordinate basic supplier communication where required.
