The below listed responsibilities and requirements is assessed during the interview stages and will further be confirmed with the relevant professional references that you currently are or have reported to in your previously two positions.
Core purpose:
To manage the full procurement lifecycle for project packages ensuring compliance with governance procedures maintaining high ethical standards supporting project teams and enabling efficient sourcing tendering evaluation and contract award processes.
Key Performance Areas
- Compile Pre-RFQ bidders lists and obtain required approvals.
- Prepare RFQ documents using correct templates and processes.
- Participate in tender openings and maintain accurate procurement records.
- Manage procurement bonds and associated documentation.
- Report weekly and monthly procurement activities.
- Interface with engineering teams to support the Procurement Operating Plan.
- Administer purchasing activities and internal buying functions.
- Ensure correct sign-off and issuance of procurement documentation.
Uphold ethical procurement standards at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Issue RFQs and compile tender documents according to commercial and technical requirements.
- Coordinate with the Quantity Surveyor for price analyses.
- Conduct bid evaluations and manage vendor queries.
- Prepare commercial documentation for contract awards.
- Facilitate purchase order approvals and placement.
- Maintain full compliance with GIBB and Client governance standards.
- Compile tender adjudication reports and contract documentation.
- Attend pre- and post-tender clarification meetings.
- Maintain audit-ready procurement records.
- Monitor bonds and change-management registers.
- Provide monthly procurement reports for EPCM and contractor meetings.
- Inform the Procurement Manager of any deviations from procedures
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Procurement Diploma or Certificate.
Knowledge & Experience:
- 35 years procurement experience in an EPCM mining or project environment
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes in mining/project environments.
- Understanding of NEC / FIDIC / SAACE contract forms.
- Excellent negotiation skills and vendor engagement capability.
- Strong commercial contract administration and document management competence.
- Report writing and communication proficiency.
- Proven ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
