Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Driver Patrol in Tampa FL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a utilities location you will conduct routine patrols and vehicle rounds stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents and provide clear communication and customer service to employees and visitors. This is a driving post and requires an armed guard card or license and a valid drivers license. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients employees contractors and/or visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures policies and post orders.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of utility facilities grounds and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards irregularities and maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access points and security-related systems such as gates alarms and/or video surveillance; verify credentials and follow visitor and vehicle processing procedures as required by the location.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner; coordinate with site personnel and public emergency services as directed by post orders.
- Complete timely written reports and activity logs document incidents and observations and communicate relevant information to supervisors and/or client representatives per escalation guidelines.
Minimum Requirements:
- An armed guard card/license is required.
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
