Job Description
As a Security Officer - Gatehouse Driver in Piedmont SC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading tech and telecommunications location where you will focus on access control and front-line customer service. You will greet employees and visitors verify credentials manage badges monitor entry points and document security-related activity while communicating clearly with site teams. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license under AU Driver Policy requirements supporting occasional mobile coverage as needed.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to site employees contractors and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Control access at a tech and telecommunications location by verifying identification issuing and collecting visitor badges managing access cards and maintaining accurate visitor and access logs.
- Monitor alarms cameras and access control systems to help to deter unauthorized entry and report irregular activity according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including supporting evacuation or shelter actions when directed by site leadership and/or emergency services.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas entrances and the perimeter and document observations and actions in required reports.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
