Job Title: CT / X-Ray Technologist

Position Summary
The CT / X-Ray Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography (CT) and diagnostic radiology procedures in accordance with established protocols and safety standards. This role supports accurate diagnosis and patient care by producing clear diagnostic images while maintaining a strong focus on patient safety comfort and service excellence.
The technologist must be flexible with scheduling including variable day shifts and overnight call coverage.
Work Schedule
Day shifts may vary and include:
7:00 AM 3:30 PM
8:00 AM 4:30 PM
9:00 AM 5:30 PM
Extended shift option:
7:00 AM 11:30 PM with overnight on-call responsibility
Key Responsibilities
Perform CT and X-ray examinations following physician orders and imaging protocols
Prepare and position patients to obtain optimal diagnostic images
Operate CT scanners and radiographic equipment safely and efficiently
Administer contrast injections in accordance with licensure and safety standards
Review images for quality and accuracy prior to submission for interpretation
Ensure compliance with radiation safety infection control and departmental policies
Accurately document procedures and patient information in imaging systems
Communicate effectively with radiologists providers and clinical staff
Respond appropriately to emergency imaging needs and on-call requests
Required Qualifications
1 year of hands-on CT experience (required)
Experience performing both CT and general radiography procedures
Active New York State Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License with Injection Registration
ARRT (R) American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
