Job Summary

The Coventry Village School seeks a creative collegial and motivated teacher to join our school family. The specific assignment would be Math in a combined classroom for grades 3-5. The best candidates will have beliefs or experience in the following areas: A commitment to real-world connections for students. Effective use of technology to improve student learning and prepare students for the 21st century. A love of studentssomeone who is willing to do whatever it takes to help students be successful. Strong communication skills and knowledge of standards-based instruction. A willingness to engage and participate in school-based activities and teams An in-depth knowledge of content and pedagogy. An ability to prepare lessons in advance. Bachelors degree in math or related subject; masters degree or graduate level coursework preferred. The ideal candidate will possess three years of classroom experience with demonstrated effective practices. Classroom management expertise Strong understanding of the Vermont MTSS Framework and best practice and strategies. A willingness to learn and receptive to feedback. An in-depth knowledge of content and pedagogy. A willingness to incorporate research-proven teaching strategies and approaches geared towards promoting student achievement in an objective measurable Coventry Village School students are challenged and engaged; they are encouraged to grow into model citizens who serve their communities as confident self-directed leaders.
