AbouttheRole
In your new role as aSenior Land Services Officer you will deliver extension services to landholders across theGreater Sydney Local Land Servicesregion with a strong focus on pasture agronomy and pasture management. Greater Sydney supports a diverse customer base stretching from Camden to the Central Coast and west to Megalong Valley soyoullbe comfortable working across varied farming systems and landholder needs.

Alongside delivering general advisory servicesyoullalsoplan and deliver activities and events including field days and workshops through the Australian Governments Natural Heritage Trust Climate Smart funded project. A key part of the role is overseeing four pasture demonstration sites on landholder properties and working with stakeholders to support the adoption of best practice pasture and grazing management.

To be successful in this roleyoullideallyhave:

• Strong technical knowledge and practical experience in pasture agronomy grazingsystemsand mixed farming environments.
• Proven experience designing and delivering extension activities (events demonstrationstoolsand advice).
• Ability to plan coordinate and report on project activities including monitoring and documenting outcomes.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and a collaborative working style.
• A proactive approach and confidence working across a geographically diverse customer base.

• Degree in agriculture environmental science natural resource management (or equivalent experience).
• Current NSW Driver Licence and willingness to travel.
• Ability to undertake police and medical clearances.
