Leads and participates in a small team providing phlebotomy services to patients at a lab site. Ensures adherence to standards and policies. Trains new employees as assigned. Captures data audits processes and reports selected metrics to management.
Minimum High school diploma
Preferred Phlebotomy Training or Phlebotomy Technical School
Minimum ASCP certification for Phlebotomy (or other accrediting agency) or certification must obtain within 3 months of hire date.
Minimum Six months of phlebotomy experience.
Preferred One year of phlebotomy experience at MHSM.
Minimum: Strong interpersonal and clerical skills. Strong customer service skills.
Familiarity with standard desktop and windows-based computer system including email e-learning intranet and computer navigation. Ability to use other software required to perform essential functions.
Physical/Mental
Minimum: Sitting for long periods of time; mobile; bending stooping and reaching above head and lifting and carrying as part of daily responsibilities. Keyboard repetitive tasks of typing and phone use.
