Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Retail Patrolin Miami Beach FL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location you will conduct routine foot patrols maintain a highly visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents and respond to alarms and guest concerns with calm clear communication. You will support access control and badge checks while delivering customer service that reflects Allied Universal values of agility reliability innovation teamwork and integrity in a people-first culture.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients team members and shoppers by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Maintain a visible armed presence at a retail location assist with access control and/or queue management and help to deter theft trespassing and other policy violations through professional engagement.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor stock areas entrances loading areas and exterior perimeter including parking areas with working environments and conditions varying by site.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including de-escalating conflicts requesting medical assistance when needed and coordinating with law enforcement and/or store management.
- Complete patrol logs and incident reports monitor cameras and alarm systems as assigned and communicate security-related concerns promptly to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Have 3 Years Combined Law Enforcement/Military/Security Experience OR a College Degree.
- State County or City Issued Security License is preferred.
- Guard Card/License is preferred.
- Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
- Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
