About the Role
We are seeking a dependable and flexible Porter to join our Environmental Services team. This position plays an essential role in maintaining a clean safe and welcoming environment for residents staff and visitors.
This is a floating position meaning you will support multiple areas of the community rather than being assigned to a single floor. Evening hours focus heavily on dining areas laundry support and responding to facility needs as they arise.
Key Responsibilities
Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables throughout the campus
Support laundry operations as needed
Clean and maintain dining room floors and service areas
Sweep mop vacuum and maintain common areas
Clean and maintain trash rooms and containers
Assist with floor care as needed
Respond to evening service needs and facility requests
Assist with unexpected spills cleanups or facility needs
Move furniture or supplies when needed
Maintain equipment and supply areas
Provide general support across the building to ensure cleanliness and safety
Requirements
Must be 21 years of age or older
Valid North Carolina drivers license with acceptable driving record
Ability to work evening hours and maintain reliable attendance
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to work independently and adapt to changing needs
Previous custodial janitorial or environmental services experience preferred
