Job Summary:
We are seeking an Experienced Application Engineering Developer with strong expertise in Azure SQL Databricks and the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps Power Automate) to design build and optimize data-driven enterprise applications. The role focuses on developing scalable data solutions low-code business applications and high-performance analytics within the Azure ecosystem operating in a global corporate IT environment.

Responsibilities:

Develop new applications as well as maintain and enhance existing ones across the full application lifecycle including requirements analysis design build transition and operational support (bug fixing).
As an Experienced Developer provide technical oversight for other engineers deliverables ensuring projects are delivered within agreed timelines and budgets.
Monitor adherence to development methodologies tools and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Promote software component reuse platform consolidation and standardized environments to help reduce overall IT costs.
Ensure effective and consistent communication within the team with peers leadership and other IT groups.
Act as a point of contact for operational escalations related to supported platforms.

Key responsibilities include:

Deliver technical project outputs such as source code builds and technical documentation.
Translate detailed requirements design and solution architecture deliverables into detailed technical design specifications.
Produce high-quality application engineering deliverables in line with agreed project timelines (application code test results documentation).
Develop build and unit test solutions according to detailed design specifications.
Ensure adherence to architectural standards and principles global product-specific guidelines and usability design standards.
Participate in the development and review of documentation required by SDLC methodologies (e.g. WBS estimations SDD SAD).
Follow Application Engineering methodologies development standards and code review practices.
Maintain effective and consistent communication with team members peers leadership and other IT stakeholders.

Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:

Proactively anticipate project and technical issues define problems identify root causes and work with the team to identify and implement effective solutions. Apply judgment when implementing Application Engineering methodologies processes and practices to meet project and program requirements. Consider product design information security code maintainability reliability and performance when making technical decisions. Use strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage multiple technical challenges simultaneously across assigned projects.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

Primary Skillset
5 years of hands-on experience working with Azure SQL and Azure Data Factory
3 years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps Power BI Power Automate)
3 years of experience working with Databricks
2 years of experience using DevOps tools and GitHub
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English

Secondary Skillset
Experience with MS SQL Server and SSIS
Knowledge of Azure Functions and Azure Blob Storage
Experience working with Agile and Waterfall delivery models
Ability to work effectively within diverse global and virtual teams
Relevant technical certifications are considered an advantage

Supervision Responsibilities:
Participate in at least bi-weekly meetings with the Application Engineering Leader.
Engage in frequent meetings with other functions within and outside the team including regular project meetings.

Other Requirements:
Flexibility to participate in occasional short conference calls outside standard office hours due to collaboration with global teams in different time zones.

Job Requirements:

To qualify candidates must have:
A degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
At least 5 years of relevant hands-on experience building integrating and delivering enterprise-wide applications in large complex organizations (Azure and on-premise).
Demonstrated expertise in application design code reviews unit testing deployment performance optimization documentation and support.
Fluency in English both written and verbal.
