Requirements:
Completes assessments including history and physical medication reconciliation problem list and develops a plan of care.
Performs assessment and plans for ongoing treatment for patients in the service.
Orders lab and diagnostic tests for patients as appropriate to formulate
diagnosis develop treatment plans.
Supports cardiac procedures such as stress testing
Reviews results of lab and diagnostic tests and makes adjustment to the treatment plan
accordingly.
Prescribes medication appropriate for the condition.
Provides treatment appropriate for the condition i.e.: wound care respiratory treatments basic emergency treatments.
Plans a response for follow-up for patients with abnormal tests results and intervenes with
patient according to medical center policy and procedure.
Follow up care post hospital discharge or procedures.
Refers to specialist collaborates with care team for follow up care.
Assures all entries to the medical record paper or electronic are appropriate timed dated
signed and legible.
Promotes throughput for the service by achieving and maintaining medical center
expectations for productivity.
Provides patient education and feedback to promote health and wellness.
Adheres to all medical center policies and procedures and bylaws of the medical staff.
Participates in department performance improvement initiatives collects and aggregates
data as needed works with leadership to develop a plan of correction.
Fosters and promotes teamwork with other staff members of the service.
Communicates pertinent information to the supervisor of the service.
Performs comprehensive physical psychosocial and mental examinations including
developmental and functional status determination.
Perform and interpret EKG as part of patient evaluation.
Participate in device clinic and rhythm management
Interprets x-rays with assistance from physicians to formulate diagnosis.
Interprets lab values with order to correct abnormalities.
Evaluate consultations and make concise case presentations to physicians differentiating
normal from abnormal findings and suggest differential and presumptive diagnosis.
Develops a prioritized comprehensive problem list.
Documents in the patients record all pertinent patient interactions and care.
Provides discharge instructions with prescriptions given and follow-up visits arranged.
Participates in interdisciplinary quality improvement efforts to improve clinical practice.
Understands and adheres to the Medical Centers Code of Conduct.
Familiar with the Medical Centers Mission Vision and Values Statements.

attitude patience and helpfulness. All responses should be timely professional caring and
respectful in accordance with Customer Service Performance expectations.
Other Duties:
Participates in continuing education activities; attends scheduled in-service programs; shares information gained at conferences with colleagues.
Performs other duties as assigned to support the overall objectives of the department and organization.
Position Qualifications:
Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program
National certificate as a physician Assistant through NCCPA
Valid NJ PA license required
Good oral and written communication skills.
Good interpersonal communication skills.
Speaks reads and writes English to the extent required by the position.
Education:
Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program (Masters level)
BLS ACLS and PALS certification required.
Salary commensurate with experience within posted range:
$165900 annually
