Schedule: 35 Hours per Week 9:00 AM 5:00 PM
Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Rotating weekends and holidays required
Compensation
Gross Weekly Pay: $2835
W2 Rate: $25/hour
Weekly Stipend: $1960
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) for a 13-week contract assignment at a major acute care hospital in Brooklyn NY. The Ultrasound Technologist will perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound procedures to support physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
This role requires strong general ultrasound experience technical proficiency and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Responsibilities
Perform general diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with departmental protocols and physician orders.
Capture and document accurate high-quality images for physician interpretation.
Prepare and properly position patients for procedures while ensuring comfort and safety.
Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Adhere to infection control guidelines safety standards and hospital compliance policies.
Communicate effectively with physicians nurses and other healthcare team members.
Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as required.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of general registered ultrasound experience.
Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist training program (including military training programs).
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification through ARDMS (required).
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
