Job Description:

Marshfield Medical Center is seeking a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in Marshfield Wisconsin. The NP or PA is a skilled member of the allied health care team who is qualified both academically and clinically to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients under the supervision of a licensed physician. The Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner works within a cooperative unit utilizing team effort with health care providers co-workers and the public to provide positive patient interaction.

4- 10 hour days no call no weekends

MA and RN Support

In this role you will be seeing outpatient as well as inpatient and provide hospital support and rounding ordering tests and conducts pre-op and post-op care.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

For Nurse Practitioners - Completion of a masters postmasters or doctorate from an nurse practitioner program accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education or National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission. Current licensure by the applicable state board of nursing for advanced practice.

For Physician Assistants - Masters or Baccalaureate degree. Successful completion of a physician assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) or its predecessors. Successful completion of the national certifying examination and current certification given by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe controlled substances

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.

Additional department-specific certifications licenses or memberships may be required (varies by department/location).
