Job Description
The Department of Clinical & Community Sciences University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry invites applications for a half-time clinical track faculty position in the Division of Behavioral & Population Sciences. Responsibilities include clinical teaching and direct supervision of pre-doctoral dental students in community outreach in geriatric medically complex dentistry in diverse environments. Priority will be placed on the management and treatment of medically complex patients while in community outreach and geriatric rotations. Faculty will be involved in supervision of dental students in pre-doctoral general dentistry clinics under a program that emphasizes multidisciplinary interactions and care for adults or adults with complex medico/dental needs. Administrative and teaching duties include managing the daily management and treatment of patients instruction and feedback to students and performance evaluation of students according to clinical and academic protocols provided by the UAB School of Dentistry.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must have a DDS / DMD degree and be eligible for a dental license in Alabama. Experience in general dental practice is required with either years of practice or postgraduate education in Advanced General Dentistry.
