The American Heart Association is excited to offer an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Corporate Relations Director for our Western States Region. This senior sales role is designed for a dedicated professional ready to take on ambitious challenges. This is a remote position that has the flexibility to be based within the Western States Region with cost-effective access to travel.
Reporting directly to the Western States SVP of Corporate Relations you will have a meaningful role in our mission by identifying securing and encouraging strategic corporate relationships. You will focus on new business development improving ongoing income and effectively implementing initiatives that impact multiple markets across the Western States Region and the American Heart Association as a whole.
We offer a base salary with the potential to earn an incentive up to 25% of your base pay. The potential incentive is based on achieving certain revenue targets and triggers.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for prospecting alongside WS markets and closing six- and seven-figure strategic relationships. Develop and carry out a corporate relations plan to increase growth in mainly unrestricted revenue. Revenue targets should be met and exceeded consistently over time. This involves sharing a clear vision for growth and maintaining alignment with the organizations mission and goals. Work closely with colleagues across the region and the national organization to identify and improve cross-functional and cross-market opportunities.
- Leads and implements Corporate Relations new business development strategies. Focuses on account acquisition revenue collaboration and mission impact. Builds strong partnerships with Executive Directors staff and volunteer leads through regular communication and accessibility. Drives the process of identifying recruiting and activating corporate relationships. Manages a robust portfolio of qualified prospects focusing on solicitation and growth. Leads and consults with internal partners on sourced prospects.
- Actively collaborates and coordinates efforts with Account Management and other internal partners to optimize retention renewal and growth opportunities.
- Provides management expertise mentoring and monitoring of corporate sponsorships including the renewal and acquisition of participating Companies and Sponsorship to increase growth. Remains current with business and sponsorship industry trends.
- Regularly evaluates and reports on campaign progress using the applicable campaign management tools and reporting systems. Ensures the integrity and security of donor information and adheres to established policies and procedures.
- Operates in accordance with the American Heart Associations Fiscal Standard policies and all applicable laws regulations policies and standards.
Qualifications
- 5 years minimum of prior proven experience with demonstrated fundraising expertise across a defined portfolio of complex offerings.
- Experience recruiting engaging and activating executive level corporate volunteers.
- Demonstrated track record in setting and achieving aggressive goals on a sustained basis.
- Ability to influence others to action through creating a shared vision and sense of ownership and personal accountability.
- Ability to credibly establish and execute a strategic plan across functional areas and disciplines in a complex and highly dynamic environment effectively translating strategies to measurable goals and plans.
- Proven ability to think strategically analyze market data identify key trends and have participated in the strategy development and execution of initiatives to achieve fundraising and operational goals.
- Ability to do daily local travel up to 50%; requires access to reliable transportation at all times on an immediate basis.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent.
Compensation & Benefits
Expected pay range will be $84400 min to $112500 annually. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply. The American Heart Association reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range.
