Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Detail in Washington DC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location you will conduct routine patrols remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents and respond to alarms and calls for service with professionalism. You will interact with employees and visitors providing clear communication and customer service while documenting activities and observations. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff visitors and/or vendors at a financial institution location by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of lobbies office areas ATM and drive-up areas parking lots and perimeter zones checking for irregular conditions and helping to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry directing visitors to the proper areas while following site access control procedures.
- Respond to alarms suspicious activity disturbances and/or other incidents in a calm problem-solving manner coordinating with local law enforcement and/or site management as needed.
- Complete timely reports incident documentation and patrol logs per Allied Universal and site requirements escalating issues through the chain of command.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess an armed guard card/license.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
