Coastal Medical Limited (CML) is a growing multi-site primary care organisation supporting communities across Taranaki. Were looking for a capable and detail-focused Finance Officer to join our team on a fixed-term basis providing parental leave cover for 6-12 months.

Based at The Hub in New Plymouth this is a hands-on role where accuracy consistency and initiative matter. Youll work closely with managers and operational teams to ensure payroll runs smoothly accounts are up to date and financial processes are applied consistently across the organisation.

This role is primarily office-based with some flexibility for remote work at managers discretion. Hours can be negotiated between part-time and full-time for the right candidate but must be worked across five days Monday to Friday.

Duties may include:

  • Processing end-to-end payroll using Employment Hero
  • Managing accounts receivable and payable using Xero
  • Ensuring billing accuracy and timely debtor management
  • Reconciling accounts and maintaining clean accurate financial records
  • Supporting month-end processes and reporting
  • Responding to finance queries from managers and staff
  • Assisting with audits and compliance requirements
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of finance systems and processes.

What youll bring:

  • Proven payroll experience (Employment Hero preferred)
  • Solid accounts receivable and payable experience (Xero essential)
  • Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
  • Good understanding of financial processes and internal controls
  • Confidence working independently and meeting deadlines
  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach
  • Experience in healthcare or multi-site organisations is advantageous though not essential
