The Elizabethtown College School of Arts and Humanities seeks an Adjunct Instructor in History with expertise in teaching/developing coursework on a history of Central/South America Africa Asia Oceania or the Middle East. The development of courses in an area of expertise will contribute to an element of our core curriculum that focuses on diverse cultures and worldviews. The successful applicant will teach two undergraduate courses in the fall of 2025 with the potential for teaching in future semesters. Required Qualifications
The successful applicant will demonstrate: Evidence of high-quality teaching and mentoring experience; Masters degree or Ph.D. in History; Excellent communication skills; Flexibility and responsiveness to emerging needs and trends in higher education; Skill and sensitivity in engaging diverse identities and histories.
Preferred Qualifications
We encourage and seek: Ability to teach in person or significant experience in remote teaching; Experience working with first and second-year college students.
