Your Role
This position will have strong leadership skills for the Warehouse Operations while managing the union employees. This role will require the supervisor to collaborate with the union workforce as well as understanding work rules policies union contracts receiving warehousing and shipments of products.
Responsibilities
Be a safety leader for the facility.
Identify any safety related issues and communicate effectively throughout the organization.
Manage the day to day operations to include outbound/inbound package shipments.
Coordinate with other Brenntag facilities to maintain adequate inventory.
Complete and submit all required paperwork as per standard operating procedures.
Complete required daily inspections & follow up on open items.
Pull and stage products for customer orders.
Conduct semi-annual inventory counts.
Maintain housekeeping for food grade storage compliance.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Walking or standing long stretches of time in the warehouse.
Working with your hands to manage some of the operational demands.
Your Profile
Skills
This position will supervise warehouse workers in a union environment. Supervisory duties will include but are not limited to: performance management scheduling work resolving conflict and time keeping of employees.
Experience& Education
5 years experience within the chemical distribution industry preferred
5 years of supervisory experience in a union environment
Strong leadership organization and communication skills
Must be able to work independently
Must have the ability to multitask and work with various groups within the facility
Associates Degree preferred
High school diploma or equivalent
1-5 years experience in Chemical Distribution industry or related industry preferred
