The Monitoring Technician is responsible for on-going surveillance of patient cardiac monitors and provides RNs and/or clinicians with immediate notification of any changes in cardiac rhythms. Reviews patient information to determine normal heart rhythm pattern current pattern and prior variances. Works cooperatively as part of a team. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission values and Mercy Service Standards.

The Monitoring Technician is responsible for on-going surveillance of patient cardiac monitors and provides RNs and/or clinicians with immediate notification of any changes in cardiac rhythms. Reviews patient information to determine normal heart rhythm pattern current pattern and prior variances. Works cooperatively as part of a team. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission values and Mercy Service Standards.
**Part-Time - 24 hours per week - 12-hour shifts**
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma G.E.D. and/or current Mercy coworker; Monitor tech course completion and/or passing score of 85% on monitor tech competency exam.
Other: Basic computer skills. Attention to detail and ability to multi-task is essential excellent communication skills and ability to make quick decisions under pressure is a must.
Preferred Experience: Experience preferred but not mandatory.
Preferred Certifications: CRAT certification preferred.
