We are looking for a Senior Equipment Engineer Trim & Form (BIM) to lead and sustain trim and form operations in a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment.
This role is responsible for equipment reliability tooling performance yield improvement and continuous improvement for BIM lines while supporting new product introduction and advanced packaging technologies. Hands-on experience with FICO / BESI trim systems BIM line operations and tooling is highly preferred.
What You Will Do
Own and sustain Trim & Form equipment performance to support stable high-yield 24/7 manufacturing operations.
Lead preventive maintenance optimization and continuous improvement activities across multiple package types.
Monitor equipment reliability and downtime using DT MTBF and MTBA metrics and drive corrective and preventive actions.
Partner with Process Engineering during NPI and qualification to ensure equipment and tooling readiness for HVM.
Troubleshoot and resolve trim & form equipment tooling and system-level issues impacting yield and quality.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including R&D NPI QA Product Design and Reliability.
Maintain and continuously improve technical documentation such as SOPs control plans FMEAs process specifications and technical reports.
Plan and manage technician coverage to support round-the-clock operations ensuring clear ownership and escalation paths.
Mentor and develop technicians by strengthening technical capability engineering discipline and KPI ownership.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives including MVA reduction yield enhancement and UPH optimization.
Manage spare parts strategy tooling lifecycle procurement activities and cost optimization.
Work closely with suppliers and vendors for tooling jigs fixtures and trim system support ensuring timely delivery and qualification.
Support smooth transfer of new technologies processes and equipment into high-volume production.
Perform effectively in a fast-paced dynamic manufacturing environment.
What You Will Need
Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Minimum 5 years of semiconductor industry experience with 3 years specializing in Trim & Form equipment and tooling.
Strong hands-on experience with trim & form machines used in semiconductor packaging.
Experience with FICO / BESI trim systems and BIM line operations is a strong advantage.
Good understanding of tooling design material behavior tolerances and metrology (added advantage).
Proficiency in statistical analysis tools such as JMP or Minitab.
Strong problem-solving analytical and technical documentation skills.
Proven leadership experience in guiding technicians in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills across functions.
