Hatchery Maintenance Mechanic

Hatchery Mechanic

Hatchery maintenance mechanicsare responsible for keeping all hatchery equipment running and the preventative maintenancedone on all equipment. Equipment list is asfollows:

Separator

TrayWasher

Macerator

Vacuum system

Hatchers

Setters

A/C units

Heaters

Chick counters

Evaporative Coolers

Intelliject machines

Unstop Drains

Replace light fixtures

Recam setters

Generators

Chiller

Replace wheels on farm racks and hatcher dollies

Fix anything that needs repair

Requirements:

Mustbe dependable.
Must be able to bend squatand lift approximately 50 lbs.The job requires some overhead lifting of about 20 lbs when working in setters.
Must be able to work in temperature up to100degrees in setters; however there areoverhead fans in the setters circulating the air.
Must be able to climb a ladder at times carrying about 15 lbs ()(weight of a 1/15 HP motor with blower wheel attached).
Must have electrical knowledge and able to work with electricity such as wiring motorslight fixtures running conduit replacing motors andworking aroundelectronic control boards.
Mustbe able toclimb stairsonto the roof once every month to clean filters and wash out A/C unitsand make repairs as needed.
Must be able to climb a ladder.
