Job Description
As a Security Officer - Main Gate Access in Bethlehem PA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy food and beverage location where you will manage access control verify credentials issue badges and monitor entry points to help maintain a secure environment. You will remain highly visible conduct routine patrols and document activity using a computer and/or tablet. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees contractors and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures at a food and beverage manufacturing location.
- Control entry and exit at designated points by verifying identification issuing temporary credentials when authorized and maintaining visitor and contractor logs per post orders.
- Support shipping and receiving operations by managing driver check-in and/or check-out coordinating with site contacts for dock access and monitoring restricted areas for unauthorized entry.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including initiating notifications documenting actions taken and assisting with emergency response activities as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas including perimeter checks while observing and reporting unusual activity hazards and/or policy violations using Allied Universal reporting procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
